5 Seconds of Summer

For all of you who don't know who 5SOS are, they are an Australian band. No, they aren't a boy band. They are just a band. Boy bands are just guys who sing without playing any instruments themselves. They have a backing band for that purpose. Like One Direction. A band, Is a group of people that sing and play their own instruments. Like Paramore, and 5SOS.

kk. Your little music lesson for the day has now ended. 

MOVING ON, These guys are starting to get popular. They preformed on one of the billions of music awards the other night and they got a pretty good reaction from the crowd. I've been a fan of theirs for a while now. I saw them live when I went to the One Direction concert almost a year ago. It was pretty awesome, by the way. At first, I didn't know who these guys were. They rocked the stage though and I was pretty damn impressed. I vowed to look them up when I got home. At the time, they weren't widely known so looking them up was hard. They soon became one of my all time favorite bands. I beat myself up for a while for not knowing who they were when I saw them live. It's been my dream since to see them preform live...again. But this time, I would be able to appreciate their music without a look of confusion on my face.

Honestly, Dani and I are going to go to their concert and attempt to seduce them ;D note the ATTEMPT. We are awkward but so lovable. <3 we made edits for each other lol. They are literally the bomb dot com. Like seriously go check out some of their songs. 

My favorite songs by far are

Updates: This Past Week

Okay here's a few updates: 

1) I did the Polar Plunge -_-

Okay so the first one may sound a bit ridiculous to you but it was seriously fucking cold. My friend Sicily and I, last night, went to the Jordenelle Reservoir and managed to jump in frigid water. For those who don't live in Utah or have no fucking clue what's going on, the Polar Plunge started with skiiers and ski racers where they would try and ski over a large span of water. In the middle of winter. However, it has diffused to public schools and now in PC, pretty much everyone's doing it. Sicily nominated me as well as an anonymous person on Ask. We had body paint and everything. It's kind of embarrassing because to be honest, it was so cold that I started feeling my temperature drop instantaneously. Legit it became hard for me to swim to the dock and was even harder to pull myself out of the water. I needed Sicily to help pull me out because I was losing my ability to function. Needless to say, it was funny, cold, and just about the best damn time I've ever had. :D

Next on the list is MKTO. To be honest, I heard their song Classic when it came out and I was like eh whatever. But for some strange reason, this weekend I went on a binge of listening to all their songs. Only to find that I love their music!!! God, another musical group to constantly buy music from....My favorite songs so far are Thank You, Heartbreak Holiday, and Forever Until Tomorrow. <3

Okay, to make this short and not rantish: I loved the Amazing Spiderman 2 but I hated HATE the ending. I mean if you haven't seen it, go see it but you will agree (if you are a hopeless romantic and ship Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone like I do) that it was a shitty end. Beautifully written and filmed, but shitty in my heart. -_-

Lastly, 5 Seconds of Summer performed on the Billboard Music Awards and OMG I FANGIRLED SO MANY. <3 It was cute because they were nervous at first and their voices cracked a bit but then as they grew more confident, they jammed out and Lordy did I need to calm myself! Lol me and Daniela want to go to one of their concerts and ultimately win their hearts. (But that's quite a long shot).

Whelp, I'm just about done with this update. I'm cold as fuck and hungry like no other so I'll come back later :D

Lauren's Strange Rambles of Ugliness

So I'm kind of out of it right now and I have no clue why so please excuse my unavoidable weird randomness. I'm trying to daydream while trying to blog in the middle of a class while thinking about the cookies I'll have when I get home....No I'm not kidding you. My godparents sent me a basket of cookies for my confirmation. And my great aunt bought me a box of donuts. :) I'm happy! To be honest, most girls at this point would be flipping shit about carbs and how it goes straight to their thighs, "butt" and stomach. Dude chill. 

Most of all I hate it when they judge me on stuffing my face with the good stuff. I mean yes, it's important to eat healthy and all because I do eat healthy. I've been on a diet for the past month and then after last night I've decided "FUCK IT". \-_-/ I'm done I'm done. Lol now I can binge. But when girls stare at me like a freak for enjoying a donut or piece of cake, or even just by eating chicken, I get so pissed off. Sometimes they'll snottily say, "You know that has like a ton of calories in that right?" Or something to that extent. I'll shrug and continue eating. This mainly happened a lot in my hometown in California. Girls in PC are actually chill about their food. :D Legit, the next time a girl tells me to watch my calories I'm gonna eat my cake and tell her to go back to her salad and report back if she's having fun. 

On the subject of cake, my phrase for whenever someone's a bitch to me is "How sad. They need to go home, put on sweatpants, and eat a whole cake." Just something to think about :)

So I'm kinda back to where I started with this post and am extremely tired. This morning I did NOT want to get ready at all for school. But then I realized I had to switch out of my sweats to look like I actually do in fact give a crap when I don't. So I'm going eye makeup-less and my hair is in a pony while I wear a jacket. To all my classmates who see me today, I am incredibly sorry for burning your eyes out. I'm ugly and I am proud :) sorry if I offend you with my ugliness. Just look away if you see me coming. I promise I'll be better on Monday :D

Excited but Severely Anxious

K for those of you who don't know or frankly, haven't figured out yet: Dani and I are the Invisa Girls. Look for the video post coming soon so you can learn the facts lol. Anyway, we revealed ourselves literally last week to everyone through Ask and Instagram. So you can understand why we both have been incredibly anxious and nervous this week. Aside from having the AP Geography test aka DEATH, we were pretty nervous to see how people reacted.

Mostly, everyone's actually pretty chill about it. We mainly flipped shit because well, we're antisocial and introverts. Anyway, today at lunch we decided to go outside. Dani left before me and went out. Then me and my friend Leah decided to head outside. As I was walking to the doors, I hear someone call out "Invisa Girl". I didn't comprehend what they said so they shouted louder, "INVISA GIRL". Then I turn around and all these groups of people are staring at me. Me being the antisocial, severe introvert I am, I blush, turn and walk out the doors. I really had no freaking clue what to say.

That literally  kind of made my day though. Like people don't hate me because of this. That was my  biggest fear to be real with ya. But it still kinda felt good but I was nervous to say the least lol. 

Hi! Okay... So me on the other hand, I didn't really get yelled at. Or at least I don't think I did. I did, however, get a lot of stares. I obviously got super uncomfortable and just rushed outside. No, I don't regret what I did, nor do I feel ashamed! I just don't like stares. I am really happy over the fact that we aren't treated too differently though. That would have made me kind of upset to be honest. I like being a sort of "outcast" My thoughts when hearing that people knew who I was: "Cool..."

How to Pick Up Chicks (Part 2-ish)

So in case you haven't seen my post about pick up lines to use on girls, you should probably go there now. Like Right now. I said that I would post about how to pick up chicks with actions. Well here we go.
Scenario: You like this one chick but you don't know how to tell her. You need help or else someone else will get her.

1. Talk to her about her favorite things. Trust me she will have so much fun and maybe, just maybe, you'll find you have something in common. Or not and then you move on. -_-

2. Compliment her. All girls have some level of insecurities. If she complains about some part of her, make sure to tell her what you feel about it. Be honest though. No one likes someone who lies to help people. Tell her something you love about her. 

3. Surprise her. You like her right? You should probably know her favorite food or drink. Possibly favorite color and whatnot. It doesn't even have to be a big thing that you surprise her with. Just give her a nice card on Valentine's Day or buy her favorite snack and give it to her at lunch. Maybe on her birthday buy her that CD she's wanted since it came out. Girls notice guys who listen to them... (so not that many jk lol)

4. Be attentive but not creepy. No one likes someone constantly staring at them. So when they talk, look them straight in the eyes but blink. Please for the love of God, BLINK. Not that much though. Pay attention to her likes and dislikes. Her fears, her dreams. 

5. Comfort her like a friend (but secretly hint as a future dating possibility). This step is tricky. You don't want to come on too strong but you also don't want to be flat out friendzoned. People go through rough times and if your girl is going through a hard time, be there for her. Buy her chocolate to make her feel better, listen to her issues. Help her and make her understand that you're willing to be there for her.

6. Cheesy pick up lines. I'm telling you. They make a girl laugh. They don't work right off the bat but they do work. (At least with me). Use one of the pickup lines in my past post and the girl will laugh and feel flattered. Thus, making you funny in her eyes and making you a possibility.

Final Act: GROW A PAIR. Go up to her and ask her out. Nicely though. If she rejects you, don't flip out. Keep pursuing her for a while until either she goes out with you or she rejects you again. You can only ask a girl out about....like two or three times before they want to yell at you and tell you to go away. 

If it works, congrats! Be aware that you have to keep up the good boyfriend act all through the relationship. Fake it till you make it. :D

If it doesn't work, I'm sorry and never listen to me about dating. I only ever dated one guy and he broke up with me. -_- lesson learned: never listen to Lauren about dating stuff.
